Do not cut power while flashing. The upload buffers to memory first (Wi-Fi stays up), then the cluster flashes and reboots — Wi-Fi will drop for ~30s during that, which is normal. If the write fails it stays on the current version.
Update a pod over CAN
For the round pod screens, which can't be reached once they're in the dash. The cluster streams the image to the pod over the CAN bus.

Takes a few minutes over CAN. Keep the pod powered and on the bus, and the phone in airplane mode. If it fails, the pod stays on its current firmware. Don't run the engine during the transfer.
